Hi Everyone,

There will be more information posted soon, but here are some tips to maximize your reception.

1. KZ88 broadcasts with vertical polarity which means antennas work best for us that are vertical. This is different from most FM stations. There is a technical reason why we had to go completely with vertical polarization. Try turning your antenna so it is "up and down" rather than "side to side" and you'll notice a difference.

2. Our transmitter is located about 5 miles east of Cabool. If you are aiming an antenna, try pointing there.

Very soon we'll be posting more information about antennas including how-to directions and offer some for sale. Please contact us if you have any reception questions.

We are running two side mounted dipole antennas one on top of each other which gives you 3-5Db gain. The dipoles are mounted 1200mm above each other.Out broadcast pattern is such that we broadcast 15 kilometers south and 12 kilometers north 20 kilometers west ands 15 kilometers west.We are supposed to transmit at 2 watts PEP but as we are in rural NSW we are permitted 10 watts PEP.
Best antenna for your listeners to have is a dipole antenna or a long wire antenna on the back of their receiver.
That will work real well.
You can tune into us any time of the day and one can see npics of our studio on our web site.I dont have any pics of the antenna system there as yet as I am still putting up Amataer antennas as we speak.
Any way 88:00FM wont transmit/broadcast properly on horizontal polarization,BUT vertical is the best way to go
